GENERAL

Works well for automated streaming. I run a lo-fi music channel and needed something that could keep the stream going 24/7 without constant manual uploads. The video looping on autopilot is smooth and I haven't had any major technical issues in the 6 weeks I've been using it. Stream quality stays consistent throughout the day. My only suggestion would be adding an option to randomize the playlist order instead of just sequential looping, which would make the streams feel less repetitive for regular viewers.

FEATURE

Livecaster is exactly what I needed for my fitness coaching business. I record workout sessions once and broadcast them as live classes throughout the day at different time zones to reach my international clients. The ability to schedule streams means I can run a 6am EST class, 12pm GMT, and 8pm PST all from the same recorded session without waking up at crazy hours. Been using it daily for 4 months and it's saved me probably 60+ hours of redundant live streaming. Client engagement actually went up because they feel like they're in a live class. The platform switching between YouTube and Facebook is seamless.

The autopilot streaming for fitness content is such a good idea! Are your viewers okay with it being pre-recorded or do they expect real-time interaction?

Alex Martinez
Alex Martinez2 months ago

Most people don't even realize it's pre-recorded if you're in chat. The workouts are still effective either way. The 24/7 availability is actually better for different time zones.

Thanks! Fitness coaching is one of our most popular use cases. The ability to record once and stream 24/7 gives your clients flexibility across time zones while you maintain quality control over the content.

FEATURE

The scheduling feature alone makes this worth using. I run a tech tutorial channel and record all my content in batches on weekends. With Livecaster I can schedule 15-20 videos to broadcast as live sessions throughout the following week at optimal times for different audiences. Tested it with various video formats (MP4, MOV, WebM) and everything processes smoothly. The multi-platform broadcasting saved me hours since I used to manually stream to YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook separately. Been using it as my primary streaming tool for 5 months and can't imagine going back to traditional live streaming. It's like having an automated broadcast studio.

The batch recording workflow is incredible for tutorial content. How far ahead do you typically schedule your streams?

I usually plan 2 weeks ahead. Record everything in one weekend session, then schedule throughout the week. Huge time saver.

Same! The scheduling interface makes it really easy to plan out a full month if you want. Way better than uploading manually.

This has completely changed how I manage my cooking channel! I record all my recipes on weekends when I have time, then Livecaster broadcasts them as live throughout the week. My subscribers don't even realize it's pre-recorded because the stream quality is so good. Been using it for 2 months now and my channel went from 3-4 live hours per week to literally 24/7 presence. The ROI is insane considering I'm paying way less than hiring someone to manage live streams. Already recommended it to 4 other food content creators in my network.

The batch recording + peak hour scheduling is genius! How are you handling viewer questions during the "live" streams though?

I keep my phone nearby to jump into chat when I get notifications. Works pretty well for engagement even though the video is pre-recorded.

Thanks! The scheduling feature was specifically designed for creators who batch content. And yes, being available in chat during peak hours is the perfect approach to maintain engagement!

Absolutely loving this for my meditation and ambient soundscape channel. I record nature sounds and guided meditations, then Livecaster keeps them running continuously for people who tune in at all hours. The autopilot looping is flawless and I've had zero interruptions in 3 months of daily broadcasting. What really impressed me is that I can manage streams to both YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, which has doubled my reach. My subscriber count went from 2.3k to 8.1k since I started maintaining 24/7 live presence. Worth every penny and highly recommend for any creator who wants consistent visibility without burning out on constant live streaming.

The 24/7 looping is perfect for this type of content! Do you schedule different tracks for different times of day or just continuous loop?

Same setup here with ambient music! I noticed engagement is way higher with continuous streaming vs scheduled uploads.

Really appreciate this! Meditation and ambient content is one of the best use cases for continuous streaming. The algorithm definitely favors 24/7 live channels for discovery.

Just started using this last week for my art livestream channel and I'm already seeing results. Instead of spending 6 hours painting live, I record the process once and Livecaster broadcasts it multiple times so viewers in different time zones can watch. Set up was super easy and the pre-recorded stream looks identical to an actual live session. The autopilot feature means I can focus on creating more art instead of being glued to streaming schedules. Excited to see where this goes as they add more features. Definitely recommend if you're a creator struggling to maintain consistent live presence.

That's awesome! What kind of results are you seeing? I'm thinking about doing something similar for my craft channel.

The 24/7 livestream presence definitely helps with discovery. I went from 50 to 200+ concurrent viewers in two weeks using this approach.

GENERAL

Good solution for maintaining continuous streaming presence. I use it for my podcast channel where I want episodes available as live streams for people who prefer that format. The video looping works reliably and the scheduling lets me plan 2 weeks of content in advance. Stream quality is solid at 1080p. My only feedback would be adding support for higher bitrates for 4K content, which would future-proof it a bit. But for current HD streaming needs it delivers well.

GENERAL

Does the basic job of streaming pre-recorded content. I use it for educational webinars that I want to broadcast multiple times without re-hosting live sessions. The 24/7 streaming capability is useful but I've noticed the bitrate occasionally drops during peak hours, probably a server load issue. Scheduling works fine for planning content a week ahead. It's functional but not amazing. For the price point it's acceptable, though I'd expect better stream stability for professional use.

GENERAL

Solid tool for running pre-recorded content as live streams. I use it for my music production channel on Twitch and it works well for broadcasting studio sessions I recorded earlier. The multi-platform support is handy since I can simultaneously stream to YouTube and Twitch. Setup took about 20 minutes to figure out but after that it's been smooth. Would be nice if there was a built-in analytics dashboard to track viewer engagement across different platforms, but overall it does what it promises.

BUG

The core streaming functionality works but I've run into sync issues when looping videos longer than 2 hours on Facebook Live. Audio starts drifting about 15-20 seconds behind the video after the third loop. Tested on macOS 14.1 with Chrome 119. YouTube and Twitch streams work fine though. The scheduling feature is great for planning content ahead, just wish the looping was more stable across all platforms. Support team responded quickly when I reported it.

I'm seeing the same sync issues with longer videos! It starts drifting after about 90 minutes. Really annoying when you're trying to loop content.

Taylor Lewis
Taylor Lewis5 months ago

Thanks for reporting this. We're aware of the sync issue with videos over 2 hours and currently working on a fix. As a temporary workaround, try splitting longer videos into 90-minute segments. Should have a proper solution in the next update.

Reese Brown
Reese Brown5 months ago

Good to know about the 90-minute workaround. Is this affecting all platforms or just specific ones?

Taylor Lewis
Taylor Lewis5 months ago

It's primarily affecting YouTube streams with longer loop points. Twitch and Facebook seem more stable. We're testing a buffer optimization that should fix it across all platforms.
